Lamberti of Polk called up for consideration Senate File 2391, a bill for an act allowing probation for some operating-while-intoxicated offenders after service of a mandatory minimum sentence, permitting a .15 blood alcohol level to control the penalties applicable to an offender regardless of the margin of error associated with the test device, requiring the deletion from motor vehicle records after twelve years of certain youth license revocations for alcohol violations, and providing an effective date, amended by the House, further amended by the Senate and moved that the House concur in the following Senate amendment H-8960: H-8960 1 Amend the amendment, S-5468, to Senate File 2391, 2 as amended, passed, and reprinted by the Senate, as 3 follows: 4 1. Page 1, by striking lines 35 through 45. 5 2. Page 3, by inserting before line 14 the 6 following: 7 "c. The department of public safety shall adopt 8 nationally accepted standards for determining 9 detectable levels of controlled substances in the 10 division of criminal investigation's initial 11 laboratory screening test for controlled substances." 12 3. Page 3, by striking lines 25 through 36. 13 4. Page 4, by striking lines 18 through 22. 14 5. Page 11, line 43, by striking the words 15 "reason to believe" and inserting the following: "a 16 reasonable suspicion". 17 6.
