  Senator Szymoniak offered amendment S-3554 filed by her on
  April 16, 1997, to page 15 of the bill and moved its adoption.

  A non record roll call was requested.

  Amendment S-3554 lost.

  Senator Vilsack offered amendment S-3579 filed by him from the
  floor to pages 19 and 20 of the bill, moved its adoption and requested
  a record roll call.

  On the question "Shall amendment S-3579 be adopted?" (H.F. 715)
  the vote was:

  Rule 23, requiring all Senators present to vote except those who
  express a conflict of interest, was invoked.
