  nonsubstantive changes to the members of the Commerce Committee on Senate

  367 and they were attached to the committee report.

  EDUCATION

  Final Bill Action: SENATE FILE 364 (SSB 190), a bill for an act increasing
  the
  amount of the tuition and textbook tax credit and providing an applicability
  date
  provision.

  Recommendation: APPROVED COMMITTEE BILL.

  Final Vote: Ayes, 10: Redfern, Rehberg, Connolly, Angelo, J. Black,
  Boettger,. Kibbie,
  Lind, Redwine and Rensink. Nays,.5: Dvorsky, Fink, Neuhauser, Szymoniak and
  Tinsman.

  Fiscal Note: REQUIRED UNDER JOINT RULE 17.

  JUDICIARY

  Final Bill Action: *SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 12 (SSB 36), a joint resolution
  proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the State of Iowa to provide
  for certain
  rights for victims of crimes.

  Recommendation: APPROVED COMMITTEE BILL.

  Final Vote: Ayes, 15: McKean, Maddox, Neuhauser, Angelo, Boettger, Drake,
  Fraise,
  Halvorson, Hammond, Hansen, King, McKibben, Redfern, Tinsman and Vilsack.
  Nays,
  none.

  Fiscal Note: NOT REQUIRED UNDER JOINT RULE 17.

  Final Bill Action: *SENATE FILE 365 (SSB 58), a bill for an act applying the
  death
  penalty or life imprisonment, by establishing the offense of capital murder,
  by
  providing a minimum age for imposition of a death sentence, by providing for
  review of
  death sentences, by providing for execution by lethal injection, by amending
  the rules
  of criminal procedure, and by providing for the Act's effectiveness and
  applicability.

  Recommendation: APPROVED COMMITTEE BILL.

  Final Vote: Ayes, 8: McKean, Maddox, Angelo, Boettger, Drake, King, McKibben
  and
  Redfern. Nays, 7: Neuhauser, Fraise, Halvorson, Hammond, Hansen, Tinsman and
  Vilsack.
