  QUORUM CALL

  Senator Iverson requested a non record roll call to determine that a
  quorum was present.

  The vote revealed 40 present, 10 absent and a quorum present.

  LEAVES OF ABSENCE

  Leaves of absence were granted as follows:

  Senator Deluhery until he arrives on request of Senator Gronstal; Senator
  McKibben until he arrives on request of Senator Angelo; Senators McKean,
  McLaren,
  Rife, Tinsman and Hedge until they arrive, and Senator King for the day on
  request of
  Senator Iverson.

  CONSIDERATION OF BILLS
  (Regular Calendar)

  Senate File 160

  On motion of Senator Maddox, Senate File 160, a bill for an act
  relating to funds held by life insurance companies and providing an
  effective date, was taken up for consideration.

  Senator Connolly asked and received unanimous consent that
  action on Senate File 160 be deferred.

  Senate File 123

  On motion of Senator Maddox, Senate File 123, a bill for an act
  relating to runaway children, by defining when a child is a chronic
  runaway, authorizing county runaway treatment plans, and
  providing for assessment and treatment procedures for chronic
  runaways, was taken up for consideration.

  Senator Maddox offered amendment S-3074 filed by him from the
  floor to page 2 of the bill and moved its adoption.

  Amendment S-3074 was adopted by a voice vote.
