  78 JOURNAL OF THE SENATE 4th Day
  submit to the States for ratification a balanced budget amendment to
  the United States Constitution, with report of committee
  recommending passage, was taken up for consideration.

  Senator Connolly withdrew amendment S-3010 filed by him from
  the floor to pages 1 and 3 of the resolution.

  Senator Tinsman moved the adoption of House Concurrent
  Resolution 4, and requested a record roll call.

  On the question "Shall the resolution be adopted?" (H.C.R. 4) the
  vote was:

  The motion prevailed and the resolution was adopted.

  Senator Iverson asked and received unanimous consent that House
  Concurrent Resolution 4 be immediately messaged to the
  House.

  INTRODUCTION OF BILLS

  Senate File 34, by Rife, a bill for an act relating to the allocation of
  gambling receipts to horse race purses.

  Read first time and passed on file.
