Mr. Speaker: I am directed to inform your honorable body that
the Senate has on April 17, 1997, amended and passed the
following bill in which the concurrence of the House is asked:
House File 553, a bill for an act amending the uniform
securities Act relating to the registration of securities and
the registration of broker-dealers and agents, establishing
fees, and providing an effective date.
Also: That the Senate has on April 16, 1997, amended and passed
the following bill in which the concurrence of the House is
asked:
House File 611, a bill for an act relating to permissible
charges which may be contracted for and received with respect to
open-end credit.
Also: That the Senate has on April 17, 1997, concurred in the
House amendment and passed the following bill in which the
concurrence of the Senate was asked:
Senate File 379, a bill for an act providing for maintenance and
repair of out-of-state commercial vehicles.

SENATE AMENDMENT CONSIDERED
Jacobs of Polk called up for consideration House File 611, a
bill for an act relating to permissible charges which may be
contracted for and received with respect to open-end credit,
amended by the Senate, and moved that the House concur in the
following Senate amendment H-1793:
H-1793
1 Amend House File 611 as follows:
2 1. By striking page 1, line 29, through page 2,
3 line 6.
4 2. By renumbering as necessary.
The motion prevailed and the House concurred in the Senate
amendment H-1793.
Jacobs of Polk moved that the bill, as amended by the Senate and
concurred in by the House, be read a last time now and placed
upon its passage which motion prevailed and the bill was read a
last time.
On the question "Shall the bill pass?" (H.F. 611)
