  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  10A.503  SITE VISIT AND REVIEW –
  1  2 MAXIMUM COMPLETION TIME – FEDERAL MEDICARE PROGRAM.
  1  3    Following receipt of written notice by the division from a
  1  4 provider, seeking a provider number under the federal Medicare
  1  5 program, that the provider has commenced services to clients,
  1  6 the division shall complete any site visit and written review
  1  7 required under the federal Medicare program within fifteen
  1  8 business days of the date of receipt of the notice.
  1  9    Sec. 2.  NEW SECTION.  100.41A  SITE VISIT AND REVIEW –
  1 10 MAXIMUM COMPLETION TIME – FEDERAL MEDICARE PROGRAM.
  1 11    Following receipt of written notice by the fire marshal
  1 12 from a provider, seeking a provider number under the federal
  1 13 Medicare program, that the provider has commenced services to
  1 14 clients, the fire marshal shall complete any site visit and
  1 15 written review required under the federal Medicare program
  1 16 within fifteen business days of the date of receipt of the
  1 17 notice.  
  1 18                           EXPLANATION
  1 19    This bill requires the inspections division of the
  1 20 department of inspections and appeals and the fire marshal to
  1 21 complete any site visit and written review, required under the
  1 22 federal Medicare program for a provider to receive a provider
  1 23 number, within 15 business days of receipt by the division or
  1 24 the fire marshal from the provider that the provider has
  1 25 commenced providing services to clients.
