1 4 RELATING TO PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
1 5 FOR APPLICANTS WITH CERTAIN EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS.

1 7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

1 9 Section 1. Section 542B.14, subsection 1, paragraph a,
1 10 Code 1997, is amended by adding the following new
1 11 subparagraph:
1 12 NEW SUBPARAGRAPH. (4) For applicants who obtained an
1 13 associate of science degree or a more advanced degree between
1 14 July 1, 1983, and June 30, 1988, in lieu of compliance with
1 15 subparagraph (1), the board shall only require compliance with
1 16 the provisions of subparagraph (3) with regard to areas of
1 17 study and practical experience. Applicants qualifying under
1 18 this subparagraph must meet the requirements of paragraph "b",
1 19 by June 30, 2001.
