  1  4 RELATING TO THE PAYMENT OF SNOWMOBILE AND ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE
  1  5    TITLE FEES.

  1  7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
  1  8 
  1  9    Section 1.  Section 321G.15, Code Supplement 1997, is
  1 10 amended to read as follows:
  1 11    321G.15  OPERATION PENDING REGISTRATION.
  1 12    The commission shall furnish snowmobile and all-terrain
  1 13 vehicle dealers with pasteboard cards bearing the words
  1 14 "registration applied for" and space for the date of purchase.
  1 15 An unregistered all-terrain vehicle or snowmobile sold by a
  1 16 dealer shall bear one of these cards which entitles the
  1 17 purchaser to operate it for ten days immediately following the
  1 18 purchase.  The purchaser of a registered all-terrain vehicle
  1 19 or snowmobile may operate it for ten days immediately
  1 20 following the purchase, without having completed a transfer of
  1 21 registration.  A snowmobile or all-terrain vehicle dealer
  1 22 shall make application and pay all registration and title fees
  1 23 if applicable on behalf of the purchaser of a snowmobile or
  1 24 all-terrain vehicle.
