1 1 Section 1. Section 435.26, Code 1997, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 3. When the property is entered on the
1 4 tax rolls, the assessor shall also enter on the tax rolls the
1 5 title number last assigned to the mobile home, modular home,
1 6 or manufactured home and the manufacturer's identification
1 7 number.
1 8 EXPLANATION
1 9 This bill requires the assessor, when entering a mobile
1 10 home, modular home, or manufactured home taxed as real estate
1 11 on the tax rolls, to also enter on the tax rolls the prior
1 12 title number of the home, if it is being converted to real
1 13 estate, and the manufacturer's identification number.
