1 1 Section 1. Section 514C.13, subsection 1, paragraph c,
1 2 Code Supplement 1997, is amended to read as follows:
1 3 c. "Health care provider" means a hospital licensed
1 4 pursuant to chapter 135B, a person licensed under chapter 148,
1 5 148A, 148C, 149, 150, 150A, 151, or 154, or a person licensed
1 6 as an advanced registered nurse practitioner under chapter
1 7 152.
1 8 EXPLANATION
1 9 This bill adds physical therapists to the definition of
1 10 health care provider for purposes of Code section 514C.13
1 11 relating to limited provider network plan offerings under
1 12 group managed care health plans.
