  1  4 RELATING TO NOTARIAL ACTS AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
  1  5    DATE.

  1  7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
  1  8 
  1  9    Section 1.  Section 9E.10, subsection 1, Code 1997, is
  1 10 amended by adding the following new paragraph:
  1 11    NEW PARAGRAPH.  e.  A registrar of vital statistics or a
  1 12 designee of a registrar of vital statistics.
  1 13    Sec. 2.  EFFECTIVE DATE.  This Act, being deemed of
  1 14 immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.
