  1  4 ELIMINATING THE REQUIREMENT THAT A NONPERPETUAL CARE CEMETERY
  1  5    POST A SIGN INDICATING THE CEMETERY IS A NONPERPETUAL CARE
  1  6    CEMETERY.

  1  8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA: 
  1  9 
  1 10    Section 1.  Section 566A.5, subsection 1, Code 1997, is
  1 11 amended by striking the subsection.
  1 12    Sec. 2.  Section 566A.5, subsection 2, Code 1997, is
  1 13 amended to read as follows:
  1 14    2. 1.  Each nonperpetual care cemetery shall also have
  1 15 printed or stamped at the head of all of its contracts, deeds,
  1 16 statements, letterheads, and advertising material, the legend:
  1 17 "This is a nonperpetual care cemetery", and shall not sell any
  1 18 lot or interment space in the cemetery unless the purchaser of
  1 19 the lot or interment space is informed that the cemetery is a
  1 20 nonperpetual care cemetery.
