1 1 Section 1. Section 99F.4, Code 1997, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 22. To specify the style and size of
1 4 public notices, not less than twelve inches by eighteen
1 5 inches, which notify the patrons of racetrack enclosures and
1 6 excursion gambling boats of the par sheet theoretical averages
1 7 for payouts of slot machines operating in those gambling
1 8 facilities. The public notices shall show the par sheet
1 9 theoretical averages for slot machine payouts by denomination
1 10 of coins or dollars and the overall theoretical average for
1 11 each racetrack enclosure or excursion gambling boat. The
1 12 commission shall provide that the public notices are posted in
1 13 locations conspicuous to the patrons of the gambling
1 14 facilities.
1 15 Sec. 2. Section 99F.7, subsection 16, Code 1997, is
1 16 amended by striking the subsection.
1 17 EXPLANATION
1 18 This bill provides that the state racing and gaming
1 19 commission shall adopt rules specifying the style and size of
1 20 public notices, not less than 12 inches by 18 inches, which
1 21 show the par sheet theoretical averages of slot machines at a
1 22 racetrack enclosure or excursion gambling boat by denomination
1 23 of coin or dollars and the overall theoretical average for
1 24 each gambling facility. The commission shall also provide for
1 25 the conspicuous location of the public notices.
