  1  1    Amend House File 2395, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 4, by inserting before line 2 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec. ___.  MUSSEL FISHING – SEASON.
  1  6 Notwithstanding sections 481A.38, 481A.39, 482.1, and
  1  7 482.12, the open season for taking washboard mussel on
  1  8 the Mississippi river and its connected backwaters in
  1  9 calendar year 1998 shall be from April 1 to August 31.
  1 10 The washboard mussel shall be taken only during the
  1 11 hours between sunrise and sunset.  The minimum size
  1 12 limit on washboard mussel shall be four inches."
