1 9 For allocation to assist school districts in
1 10 developing reading recovery programs:

1 12 Moneys allocated to the department of education for
1 13 purposes of the reading recovery program pursuant to
1 14 this subsection shall be distributed to area education
1 15 agencies in the proportion that the number of children
1 16 who are eligible for free or reduced price meals under
1 17 the federal National School Lunch Act and the federal
1 18 Child Nutrition Act of 1966, 42 U.S.C. } 1751-1785, in
1 19 the basic enrollment of grades one through six in the
1 20 area served by an agency, bears to the sum of the
1 21 number of children who are eligible for free or
1 22 reduced price meals under the federal National School
1 23 Lunch Act and the federal Child Nutrition Act of 1966,
1 24 42 U.S.C. } 1751-1785, in the basic enrollments of
1 25 grades one through six in all of the areas served by
1 26 area education agencies in the state for the budget
1 27 year.""
