1 7 "Sec. 151. Section 422.45, Code Supplement 1997,
1 8 is amended by adding the following new subsection:
1 9 NEW SUBSECTION. 52. The gross receipts from the
1 10 sale, furnishing, or service of gas and electricity
1 11 for residential dwellings and units of apartment
1 12 complexes used for human occupancy.
1 13 Sec. ___. APPLICABILITY DATE. Section 151 of this
1 14 division of this Act applies to the sale, furnishing,
1 15 or service of gas or electricity if the date of
1 16 billing the customer is on or after July 1, 1998."
1 17 #3. Title page, line 7, by inserting after the
1 18 word "hospitals" the following: "and of gas and
1 19 electricity for residential dwellings".
