1 3 #1. Page 5, by inserting after line 31 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. . NEW SECTION. 97B.8B BENEFITS ADVISORY
1 6 COMMITTEE.
1 7 A benefits advisory committee shall be established
1 8 whose duties are to make and publish recommendations
1 9 concerning the benefits provided to members of the
1 10 system.
1 11 The benefits advisory committee shall be comprised
1 12 of representatives of constituent groups concerned
1 13 with the system and shall consist of representatives
1 14 of employers, active members, and retired members.
1 15 The department shall adopt rules under chapter 17A to
1 16 provide for the selection of members to the
1 17 committee."
1 18 #2. Page 77, by inserting after line 35 the
1 19 following:
1 20 "Sec. . Section 97B.4, subsection 3, Code 1997,
1 21 is amended by adding the following new paragraph:
1 22 NEW PARAGRAPH. h. Review recommendations made by
1 23 the benefits advisory committee established in section
1 24 97B.8B."
