1 2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
1 3 #1. Page 11, by inserting after line 13 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "The department of inspections and appeals and the
1 6 department of public health, in consultation with the
1 7 department of human services and the department of
1 8 elder affairs, shall review the need for a state
1 9 licensing program for home health agencies. The
1 10 review shall include, but is not limited to,
1 11 determination of the scope of Iowa agencies and home
1 12 care services not currently regulated by Medicare,
1 13 fiscal information concerning the cost of
1 14 implementation of a licensing program, feasibility
1 15 analysis of implementing state regulation of the
1 16 providers, and other information deemed appropriate by
1 17 the departments. The department shall submit a report
1 18 of findings and recommendations to the general
1 19 assembly on or before December 15, 1998."
