  1  2    #1.  Page 14, by striking line 21, and inserting
  1  3 the following:

  1  5    #2.  Page 52, by inserting after line 9, the
  1  6 following:
  1  7    "Of the moneys appropriated in this Act for medical
  1  8 assistance, $5,000,000 shall be used to reimburse
  1  9 nursing facilities for providing wage increases to
  1 10 direct care staff and for increased direct care staff
  1 11 development as documented in the cost reports of the
  1 12 facilities for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1998,
  1 13 and ending June 30, 1999."
