1 7 "14. The department shall conduct a comprehensive
1 8 evaluation of the gambling treatment program
1 9 provisions under section 99D.7, subsection 21, and
1 10 additions to and distributions from the gambling
1 11 treatment fund pursuant to section 99E.10, subsection
1 12 1, paragraph "a". The evaluation shall provide
1 13 information and analysis concerning the number of
1 14 referrals to the program, assessments of the success
1 15 rates regarding outpatient and follow-up treatment,
1 16 rehabilitation, and residential treatment programs for
1 17 persons affected by problem gambling, and the extent
1 18 to which information and referral services, and
1 19 education and preventive services, have been
1 20 determined to be effective in preventing the
1 21 development of problem gambling behavior or in
1 22 reaching individuals in need of treatment. The
1 23 evaluation shall also provide an analysis of funding
1 24 levels and contain recommendations with regard to
1 25 future funding of the program and additional treatment
1 26 interventions.""
