1 1 Amend the amendment, S-5237, to Senate File 2376 as
1 2 follows:
1 3 #1. By striking page 1, line 2 through page 7,
1 4 line 24 and inserting the following:
1 5 "# . Page 1, by inserting after line 20 the
1 6 following:
1 7 "Sec. ___. INTERIM STUDY ON LOTTERY. The
1 8 legislative council is requested to establish an
1 9 interim study on the state lottery. The study shall
1 10 include, but is not limited to, an exploration of the
1 11 options of the sale or privatization of the lottery,
1 12 the determination of a market value, the study of
1 13 projected incomes, and the review of regulatory
1 14 schemes associated with its sale or transfer. The
1 15 interim study committee shall report its findings and
1 16 recommendation to the legislative council and to the
1 17 members of the general assembly not later than January
1 18 31, l999.""
1 19 #2. Title page, line 2, by inserting after the
1 20 word "agreements" the following: ", and requesting an
1 21 interim study".
