  1  1    Amend Senate File 2296 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 17, line 1, by inserting after the word
  1  3 "its" the following:  "remaining moneys and".
  1  4    #2.  Page 17, by striking lines 2 through 12 and
  1  5 inserting the following:  "liquidating manager.  The
  1  6 selection and appointment process for the liquidating
  1  7 manager shall be established by the Iowa seed capital
  1  8 corporation board subject to approval by the attorney
  1  9 general.  Liquidation shall be completed by the
  1 10 liquidation manager within a reasonable time provided
  1 11 that appropriate steps are taken to maximize the
  1 12 moneys transferred to the state and minimize the
  1 13 transition effect on the affected companies.  The
  1 14 liquidation manager shall be reimbursed for the actual
  1 15 costs associated with the liquidation of the Iowa seed
  1 16 capital corporation assets including, but not limited
  1 17 to, brokerage fees and administrative charges."
  1 18    #3.  Page 17, line 13, by inserting after the word
  1 19 "Moneys" the following:  ", unless otherwise provided
  1 20 by law, shall be".
  1 21    #4.  Page 17, lines 13 through 15, by striking the
  1 22 words "on or before June 30, 1998, and moneys
  1 23 transferred to the strategic investment fund by the
  1 24 receiver" and inserting the following:  "by the
  1 25 liquidating manager".
  1 26    #5.  Page 17, line 16, by inserting after the word
  1 27 "assets" the following:  "and".
