1 1 Amend Senate File 2312 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 1, line 6, by inserting after the word
1 3 "time." the following: "Inclusion of additional
1 4 children pursuant to this paragraph shall be limited
1 5 to the extent necessary for compliance with the
1 6 requirements for the amount of space available in the
1 7 child care home for the number of children present."
1 8 #2. Page 1, by inserting after line 8 the
1 9 following:
1 10 "Sec. ___. Section 237A.3A, subsection 10, Code
1 11 Supplement 1997, is amended by adding the following
1 12 new paragraph:
1 13 NEW PARAGRAPH. e. If more than eight children are
1 14 present at any one time, the provider shall be
1 15 assisted by a responsible person who is at least
1 16 fourteen years of age."
1 17 #3. Page 1, lines 11 and 12, by striking the words
1 18 "A person who serves as an unpaid volunteer in a child
1 19 day care facility" and inserting the following:
1 20 "Unless a person serving as an unpaid volunteer in a
1 21 child day care facility is included in the facility's
1 22 staffing ratio, the person".
1 23 #4. By renumbering as necessary.
