  1  1    Amend Senate File 2366 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 20, by inserting after line 19 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec. ___.  Section 279.51, subsection 1,
  1  5 unnumbered paragraph 1, Code Supplement 1997, is
  1  6 amended to read as follows:
  1  7    There is appropriated from the general fund of the
  1  8 state to the department of education for the fiscal
  1  9 year beginning July 1, 1997, and each succeeding
  1 10 fiscal year, the sum of fifteen twenty-seven million
  1 11 one hundred seventy thousand dollars.
  1 12    Sec. ___.  Section 279.51, subsection 1, paragraph
  1 13 b, Code Supplement 1997, is amended to read as
  1 14 follows:
  1 15    b.  For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1997, and
  1 16 for each succeeding fiscal year, eight twenty million
  1 17 three hundred twenty thousand dollars of the funds
  1 18 appropriated shall be allocated to the child
  1 19 development coordinating council established in
  1 20 chapter 256A for the purposes set out in subsection 2
  1 21 of this section and section 256A.3."
