  1  1    Amend Senate File 485 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 2, by inserting after line 16 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "   .  When used in this section, "child" means
  1  5 only the surviving child of a public safety employee
  1  6 or volunteer killed in the line of duty, or a child
  1  7 legally adopted by the public safety employee or
  1  8 volunteer prior to the death, in the line of duty, of
  1  9 the public safety employee or volunteer.  "Child" is
  1 10 limited to an individual who is under the age of
  1 11 eighteen years, an individual who is under the age of
  1 12 twenty-two and is a full-time student, or an
  1 13 individual who is disabled under the definitions used
  1 14 in section 402 of the Social Security Act if the
  1 15 individual became disabled prior to the death of a
  1 16 parent who is a public safety employee or volunteer
  1 17 killed in the line of duty."
  1 18    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
