PAG LIN 1 1 Amend Senate File 543 as follows: 1 2 #1. Page 1, by inserting before line 1 the 1 3 following: 1 4 "Sec. 101. Section 97B.41, subsection 10, 1 5 unnumbered paragraph 1, Code 1997, is amended to read 1 6 as follows: 1 7 "First month of entitlement" means the first month 1 8 for which a member is qualified to receive retirement 1 9 benefits under this chapter. Effective January 1, 1 1019951993, a member who meets all of the following 1 11 requirements is qualified to receive retirement 1 12 benefits under this chapter:". 1 13 #2. Page 2, by inserting after line 7 the 1 14 following: 1 15 "Sec. 101. EFFECTIVE DATE – RETROACTIVE 1 16 APPLICABILITY. Section 101 of this Act, being deemed 1 17 of immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment 1 18 and is retroactively applicable to January 1, 1993, 1 19 and is applicable on and after that date." 1 20 #3. Title page, line 1, by inserting after the 1 21 word "for" the following: "the definition of a 1 22 member's first month of entitlement to retirement 1 23 benefits and providing effective and retroactive 1 24 applicability dates,". 1 25 4.
