1 5 #2. Page 24, by inserting after line 20 the
1 6 following:
1 7 "Of the funds appropriated in this subsection,
1 8 $400,000 is conditioned on the enactment of
1 9 legislation authorizing the imposition of a $10
1 10 surcharge on criminal fines and forfeitures imposed
1 11 for the violation of state law or city or county
1 12 ordinance, and notwithstanding any provision in the
1 13 legislation to the contrary, $400,000 of the
1 14 surcharges collected shall be transferred from all the
1 15 counties in which the surcharges were imposed to the
1 16 general fund of the state. Amounts so transferred by
1 17 each county shall be in proportion to the amount of
1 18 additional community grant funding received by that
1 19 county out of the additional $400,000 appropriation."
