  1  1    Amend House File 710, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 2, by inserting after line 8 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "In addition to the funds appropriated in this
  1  6 subsection, $500,000 shall be transferred from funds
  1  7 appropriated to the department of human services for
  1  8 medical assistance for the fiscal year beginning July
  1  9 1, 1997, and ending June 30, 1998.  The $500,000
  1 10 transferred shall be allocated from a $1,088,839
  1 11 decrease in medical assistance expenditures resulting
  1 12 from a reduced estimate of the number of bed days
  1 13 utilized by nursing facility residents because of the
  1 14 expansion of case management services, prior to the
  1 15 reversion of the $1,088,839 to the general fund of the
  1 16 state."
