  1  1    Amend House File 662, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 8, by inserting after line 29, the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec. ___.  Section 815.10, subsection 1, Code
  1  6 1997, is amended by adding the following new
  1  7 unnumbered paragraph:
  1  8    NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH.  For purposes of this
  1  9 section, a person who is charged with a serious
  1 10 misdemeanor offense which is only punishable by the
  1 11 imposition of a fine shall not be entitled to legal
  1 12 assistance at public expense."
  1 13    #2.  By numbering and renumbering as necessary.
