  1  1    Amend Senate File 529 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 19, by striking lines 13 through 15 and
  1  3 inserting the following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  OFFICE OF GOVERNOR.  There is
  1  5 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
  1  6 office of governor for the fiscal year beginning July
  1  7 1, 1997, and".
  1  8    #2.  Page 20, by striking lines 11 and 12 and
  1  9 inserting the following:
  1 10    "Notwithstanding chapter 9, the governor shall
  1 11 assign the duties of the office of secretary of state
  1 12 funded pursuant to this section to other state
  1 13 agencies.  The publisher of the official register may
  1 14 consider an electronic version of the official
  1 15 register as an official copy for distribution."
