  1  1    Amend Senate File 99 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  By striking everything after the enacting
  1  3 clause and inserting the following:
  1  4    "Section 1.  Section 542B.14, subsection 1,
  1  5 paragraph a, Code 1997, is amended by adding the
  1  6 following new subparagraph:
  1  7    NEW SUBPARAGRAPH.  (4)  For applicants who obtained
  1  8 an associate of science, or more advanced, degree
  1  9 between July 1, 1983, and June 30, 1988, in lieu of
  1 10 compliance with subparagraph (1), the board shall only
  1 11 require compliance with the provisions of subparagraph
  1 12 (3) with regard to areas of study and practical
  1 13 experience."
  1 14    #2.  Title page, by striking lines 1 and 2, and
  1 15 inserting the following:  "An Act relating to
  1 16 professional engineering licensure requirements for
  1 17 applicants with certain educational qualifications."
