  1  1    Amend House File 212, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  By striking page 1, line 13, through page 2,
  1  4 line 4, and inserting the following:
  1  5    "6.  Notwithstanding any other provision of law,
  1  6 real property used in the operation of a racetrack or
  1  7 racetrack enclosure is subject to real property
  1  8 taxation and all provisions relating to the
  1  9 assessment, collection, and apportionment of taxes
  1 10 shall apply."
  1 11    #2.  Page 2, by inserting after line 13 the
  1 12 following:
  1 13    "Sec. ___.  This Act applies to real property taxes
  1 14 payable in fiscal years beginning on or after July 1,
  1 15 1998."
