  1  1    Amend Senate File 132 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  By striking page 10, line 31, through page 11,
  1  3 line 6, and inserting the following:
  1  4    "b.  The owner of a vehicle with a gross vehicle
  1  5 weight rating of seven thousand five hundred pounds or
  1  6 more who rents the vehicle for less than a year under
  1  7 an agreement which requires the person renting the
  1  8 vehicle to obtain an insurance policy covering at
  1  9 least the minimum levels of financial responsibility
  1 10 prescribed by law, shall not be deemed to be the owner
  1 11 of the vehicle for the purpose of determining
  1 12 financial responsibility for the operation of the
  1 13 vehicle or for the acts of the operator in connection
  1 14 with the vehicle's operation."
