1 1 Amend Senate Resolution 1 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 50, by inserting after line 18 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Rule 62
1 5 Consideration of Conference Committee Reports
1 6 A conference committee report shall not be acted
1 7 upon by the senate unless the report contains only
1 8 issues related to provisions of the bill and
1 9 amendments to the bill which were adopted by either
1 10 the senate or the house of representatives and on
1 11 which the senate and house of representatives
1 12 differed. If a conference committee report is not
1 13 acted upon because such action would violate this
1 14 rule, the inaction on the report shall constitute
1 15 refusal of the senate to adopt the conference
1 16 committee report and shall have the same effect as if
1 17 the conference committee had disagreed."
1 18 #2. Page 50, by inserting after line 25 the
1 19 following: "BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That should a
1 20 conference committee rule be adopted by joint action
1 21 of the senate and house of representatives at any time
1 22 during the Seventy-seventh General Assembly
1 23 restricting action by the senate to those conference
1 24 committee reports that contain only issues related to
1 25 the provisions of the bill and amendments to the bill
1 26 which were adopted by either the senate or house of
1 27 representatives and on which the senate or house of
1 28 representatives differed, those provisions shall
1 29 supersede the provisions of rule 62."
