House Study Bill 201

  1  1    Section 1.  Section 455B.310, Code 1997, is amended by
  1  2 adding the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  2A.  Of the tonnage fee established in
  1  4 subsection 2, fifty cents shall be retained by the county for
  1  5 use only in roadside cleanup of solid waste.  
  1  6                           EXPLANATION
  1  7    This bill provides that counties shall retain 50 cents of
  1  8 the tonnage fee imposed on solid waste received by a landfill
  1  9 to defray the costs of cleaning up solid wastes dumped along
  1 10 county roads.
