1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 322.36 MOTORCYCLE DEALER
1 2 BUSINESS HOURS.
1 3 A person in the business of selling motorcycles under
1 4 chapter 322D is not required to maintain regular business
1 5 hours at the dealer's principal place of business or other
1 6 place of business during the months of December, January, or
1 7 February. The department may adopt rules applicable to such
1 8 dealers requiring regular business hours during the months of
1 9 March through November.
1 10 EXPLANATION
1 11 This bill provides that a motorcycle dealer is not required
1 12 to maintain regular business hours at the dealer's principal
1 13 place of business or other business locations during December,
1 14 January, or February. Currently, 761 IAC 425.3 requires that
1 15 such dealers be consistently open to the public for a minimum
1 16 of 32 posted hours each week between Monday and Friday,
1 17 inclusive.
