House Study Bill 109

  1  1    Section 1.  Section 331.507, subsection 2, paragraph a,
  1  2 unnumbered paragraph 1, Code 1997, is amended to read as
  1  3 follows:
  1  4    For a transfer of property made in the transfer records,
  1  5 five ten dollars for each separate parcel of real estate
  1  6 described in a deed, or transfer of title certified by the
  1  7 clerk of the district court.  However, the fee shall not
  1  8 exceed fifty one hundred dollars for a transfer of property
  1  9 which is described in one instrument of transfer.  
  1 10                           EXPLANATION
  1 11    This bill increases the fee which the county auditor shall
  1 12 charge for the transfer of a parcel of real estate described
  1 13 in a deed or the transfer of title certified by the clerk of
  1 14 the district court from $5 to $10.  The maximum fee is
  1 15 increased from $50 to $100 if several parcels are transferred
  1 16 in one instrument of transfer.
