1 2 BY RANTS and CONNORS
1 3 A House Resolution honoring Representatives Charles
1 4 Poncy, Delwyn Stromer, and Harold Van Maanen for
1 5 their years of legislative service.
1 6 WHEREAS, Representative Charles N. Poncy completed
1 7 twenty-two years of service to the State of Iowa as a
1 8 member of the General Assembly in 1992; and
1 9 WHEREAS, Representative Delwyn D. Stromer completed
1 10 twenty-three years of service to the State of Iowa as
1 11 a member of the General Assembly in 1989, including
1 12 service as the Speaker of the House of Representatives
1 13 during the Sixty-ninth General Assembly; and
1 14 WHEREAS, Representative Harold Van Maanen will
1 15 complete twenty years of service to the State of Iowa
1 16 as a member of the General Assembly this year,
1 17 including service as the Speaker of the House of
1 18 Representatives during the Seventy-fifth General
1 19 Assembly; and
1 20 WHEREAS, Representatives Poncy, Stromer, and Van
1 21 Maanen have served honorably and have unselfishly
1 22 given of their time and efforts to further the
1 23 interests of the State of Iowa and to provide
1 24 beneficial programs for the citizens of Iowa; and
1 25 WHEREAS, it is proper that Representatives Poncy,
1 26 Stromer, and Van Maanen be honored for their many
1 27 years of service to the State of Iowa; NOW THEREFORE,
1 28 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
1 29 That the House of Representatives pay tribute to
1 30 Representatives Poncy, Stromer, and Van Maanen and
2 1 express its gratitude for the service rendered by
2 2 them; and
2 3 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the House of
2 4 Representatives present House chairs to
2 5 Representatives Poncy, Stromer, and Van Maanen in
2 6 appreciation for their many years of devoted service.
