1 2 BY COMMITTEE ON ADMINISTRATION AND RULES
1 3 A Resolution honoring Representative Roger A. Halvorson
1 4 for his years of legislative service.
1 5 WHEREAS, Representative Roger A. Halvorson
1 6 completed 22 years of service to the State of Iowa as
1 7 a member of the Seventy-sixth General Assembly, having
1 8 served as Majority Floor Leader for the Sixty-eighth
1 9 General Assembly and as Chairperson of the Committee
1 10 on Small Business, Economic Development and Trade for
1 11 the Seventy-fifth General Assembly, and as Chairperson
1 12 of the Committee on Ways and Means for the Seventy-
1 13 sixth General Assembly; and
1 14 WHEREAS, Representative Halvorson has served
1 15 honorably and has unselfishly given of his time and
1 16 efforts to further the interests of the State of Iowa
1 17 and to provide beneficial programs for the citizens of
1 18 Iowa; and
1 19 WHEREAS, it is proper that Representative Halvorson
1 20 be honored for his many years of service to the State
1 21 of Iowa; NOW THEREFORE,
1 22 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
1 23 That the House of Representatives pay tribute to
1 24 Representative Halvorson and express its gratitude for
1 25 the service rendered by him; and
1 26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the House of
1 27 Representatives present to Representative Halvorson
1 28 his House chair in appreciation for his service.
