1 2 BY COMMITTEE ON ADMINISTRATION AND RULES
1 3 A Resolution honoring Representative John H. Connors
1 4 for his years of legislative service.
1 5 WHEREAS, Representative John H. Connors has
1 6 completed 24 years of service to the State of Iowa as
1 7 a member of the General Assembly, having served as
1 8 Speaker Pro Tempore for the Seventieth, Seventy-first,
1 9 Seventy-second, Seventy-third, and Seventy-fourth
1 10 General Assemblies, and as Chairman of the Committee
1 11 on Labor and Industrial Relations for the Sixty-sixth
1 12 and Sixty-seventh General Assemblies; and
1 13 WHEREAS, Representative Connors has served
1 14 honorably and has unselfishly given of his time and
1 15 efforts to further the interests of the State of Iowa
1 16 and to provide beneficial programs for the citizens of
1 17 Iowa; and
1 18 WHEREAS, it is proper that Representative Connors
1 19 be honored for his many years of service to the State
1 20 of Iowa; NOW THEREFORE,
1 21 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
1 22 That the House of Representatives pay tribute to
1 23 Representative Connors and express its gratitude for
1 24 the service rendered by him; and
1 25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the House of
1 26 Representatives present to Representative Connors his
1 27 House chair in appreciation for his service.
