1 1 Section 1. STATE BOARD OF REGENTS. There is appropriated
1 2 from the general fund of the state to the state board of
1 3 regents for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1998, and ending
1 4 June 30, 1999, the following amount, or so much thereof as is
1 5 necessary, to be used for the purpose designated:
1 6 STATE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA. For an initiative for the health
1 7 and independence of elderly Iowans in the Iowa center on
1 8 aging, including salaries, support, maintenance, miscellaneous
1 9 purposes, and for not more than the following full-time
1 10 equivalent positions:
1 11 .................................................. $ 336,000
1 12 ............................................... FTEs 5.00
1 13 EXPLANATION
1 14 This bill appropriates $336,000 to the state board of
1 15 regents for allocation to the state university of Iowa to
1 16 establish an initiative for the health and independence of
1 17 elderly Iowans in the Iowa center on aging.
