  1  4 RELATING TO THE SALE OF STOCK OR OWNERSHIP INTEREST OF ANY
  1  5    CORPORATION FORMED UNDER THE IOWA BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
  1  6    FINANCE ACT.
  1  7 
  1  8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA: 
  1  9 
  1 10    Section 1.  Section 15E.134, subsection 8, Code 1997, is
  1 11 amended to read as follows:
  1 12    8.  To do all acts and things necessary or convenient to
  1 13 carry out the powers expressly granted in this division and
  1 14 such other powers not in conflict with this division granted
  1 15 under chapter 490, including the power and authority to sell
  1 16 any and all of the stock or ownership interest of any
  1 17 corporation formed pursuant to this division notwithstanding
  1 18 any contrary provisions or restrictions of this division.  Any
  1 19 proceeds of the sale of stock or ownership interest shall be
  1 20 deposited in the strategic investment fund created in section
  1 21 15.313 to be allocated by the Iowa economic development board
  1 22 to programs for which the assets of the fund may be used.
