1 1 Section 1. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY. There is
1 2 appropriated from the general fund of the state to the
1 3 department of public safety for the fiscal year beginning July
1 4 1, 1998, and ending June 30, 1999, the following amount, or so
1 5 much thereof as is necessary, to be used for the purpose
1 6 designated:
1 7 For costs associated with the training of state and local
1 8 law enforcement personnel concerning the recognition of and
1 9 response to persons with Alzheimer's disease:

1 11 EXPLANATION
1 12 This bill provides a $70,000 appropriation to the
1 13 department of public safety for the fiscal year beginning July
1 14 1, 1998, for the purpose of training state and local law
1 15 enforcement personnel in the recognition of and response to
1 16 persons with Alzheimer's disease.
