  1  1    Section 1.  Section 99D.9, Code 1997, is amended by adding
  1  2 the following new subsection:
  1  3    NEW SUBSECTION.  6A.  A licensee of a pari-mutuel horse
  1  4 racetrack shall not spend more than one million dollars
  1  5 annually for advertising or marketing the operations of the
  1  6 racetrack.  
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    This bill prohibits a licensee of a pari-mutuel horse
  1  9 racetrack from spending more than $1 million annually for
  1 10 advertising or promoting the operations of the racetrack.
