1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 804.32 RECORDING OF WITNESS AND
1 2 SUSPECT INTERVIEWS.
1 3 When a person is detained for questioning by a peace
1 4 officer the questioning shall be recorded if the recording of
1 5 the questioning will not materially affect the questioning and
1 6 if the law enforcement agency which employs the officer
1 7 possesses audio or video recording equipment.
1 8 EXPLANATION
1 9 This bill provides that if a law enforcement agency has
1 10 audio or video recording equipment and recording does not
1 11 materially affect the questioning, when a person is detained
1 12 for questioning by a peace officer from that agency the
1 13 questioning is to be recorded.
