1 1 Section 1. Section 222.2, Code 1997, is amended by adding
1 2 the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 1A. "Auditor" means the county auditor or
1 4 the auditor's designee.
1 5 Sec. 2 Section 229.1, Code 1997, is amended by adding the
1 6 following new subsection:
1 7 NEW SUBSECTION. 1A. "Auditor" means the county auditor or
1 8 the auditor's designee.
1 9 Sec. 3. NEW SECTION. 230.34A AUDITOR DEFINED.
1 10 As used in this chapter, "auditor" means the county auditor
1 11 or the auditor's designee.
1 12 Sec 4. Section 252.22, Code 1997, is amended by adding the
1 13 following new unnumbered paragraph:
1 14 NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH. For the purposes of this
1 15 section, "auditor" means the county auditor or the auditor's
1 16 designee.
1 17 EXPLANATION
1 18 This bill defines "auditor", for the purposes of duties
1 19 related to legal settlement under the chapters of the Code
1 20 related to persons with mental retardation, hospitalization of
1 21 persons with mental illness, support of persons with mental
1 22 illness, and supporting the poor, to mean the county auditor
1 23 or the auditor's designee.
