When used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:
1. "Administrator" means the administrator of the division of mental health and developmental disabilities of the department of human services.
2. "Hospital-schools" means the Glenwood state hospital-school and the Woodward state hospital-school.
3. "Mental retardation" or "mentally retarded" means a term or terms to describe children and adults who as a result of inadequately developed intelligence are significantly impaired in ability to learn or to adapt to the demands of society.
4. "Single entry point process" means the same as defined in section 331.440.
5. "Special unit" means a special mental retardation unit established at a state mental health institute pursuant to sections 222.88 to 222.91.
6. "Superintendents" means the superintendents of the state hospital-schools.
