  1  4 RELATING TO INSPECTIONS OF UNFIRED STEAM PRESSURE VESSELS.

  1  6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
  1  7 
  1  8    Section 1.  Section 89.3, Code 1997, is amended by adding
  1  9 the following new subsection and renumbering the subsequent
  1 10 subsections:
  1 11    NEW SUBSECTION.  10.  Internal inspections of unfired steam
  1 12 pressure vessels operating in excess of fifteen pounds per
  1 13 square inch shall be conducted once every two years.  External
  1 14 inspections shall be conducted annually.  An internal
  1 15 inspection of an unfired steam pressure vessel may be required
  1 16 at any time by the commissioner upon the observation by an
  1 17 inspector of conditions, enumerated by the commissioner
  1 18 through rules, warranting an internal inspection.
  1 19    Sec. 2.  REPEAL.  1996 Iowa Acts, chapter 1149, section 2,
  1 20 is repealed effective December 31, 1997.
