  1  1    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  314.17  MOWING ON INTERSTATE AND
  1  2 PRIMARY HIGHWAYS.
  1  3    The department shall not mow roadside vegetation on the
  1  4 rights-of-way and the medians on any primary or interstate
  1  5 highway, unless mowing is necessary for visibility and safety
  1  6 reasons.  
  1  7                           EXPLANATION
  1  8    This bill prohibits the state department of transportation
  1  9 from mowing roadside vegetation on the rights-of-way and the
  1 10 medians on any primary or interstate highway, unless mowing is
  1 11 necessary for visibility and safety reasons.
